Dear CUSD #7 Families and Community Members,
We hope you all are staying safe and healthy.
We understand everyone is eager for information concerning the upcoming school year. CUSD #7 administrators, staff members, and members of the Macoupin County Health Department are developing a plan based on the Illinois State Board of Education “Return to School” guidelines which were recently released.

These guidelines help us visualize what the upcoming school year will look like in terms of in-person learning, 1:1 initiative, scheduling, transportation, wearing masks, social distancing and other measures intended to keep everyone safe and healthy, while also re-engaging students in the learning process.
As soon as this Return to Learning plan is finalized, we will communicate this information to our families in preparation for the 20-21 school year.
Our plan will promote supports and resources for students to address learning loss and make academic gains. Our plan will also adhere to the Illinois Department of Public Health guidelines to ensure student safety.
We are confident that our district will put forth a plan that prioritizes the health and safety of our students while maintaining a dynamic learning environment. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate through this unique situation.
Thank you, stay safe, and have a great summer!
