Carol Tarran, 81 of Mt. Clare, died at St. John’s Hospital, Springfield on Monday, June 8, 2020, at 7:17 a.m. She was born on February 10, 1939, in Sycamore, MO to Ray B. Smith and Mary E. (Keys) Smith. She married Ray Tarran. He preceded her in death on November 7, 1986.
She was retired after having been an owner/operator for a restaurant. Carol loved to knit. She made scarves and hats for local school kids. She also enjoyed her elephants.
She is survived by her children, Deborah (Thomas) Glover of Mt. Clare, Donald (Mickie) Zozosky of Port Angeles, WA, and Richard (Tammy) Zozosky of Vancouver, WA; grandchildren, Kurtis (Mandy) Rollins, Jason Zozosky, Josh Zozosky, and Tonya De-Glopper; six great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and siblings, Margrette Stetler, Mary Ellen Bennett and Jimmy Smith.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents and spouse.
Family services will be held with burial in Gillespie Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to The Elephant Sanctuary in TN. Kravanya Funeral 亚洲真人娱乐视讯home is in charge of the arrangements.
