Build Benld donated $500 in April to the Benld Public Library to help continue providing free school children lunches now and hopefully through to August 2020. They challenged the community to pitch in as well by helping to cover the cost of continuing these lunches for our area kids.
“Your support can be plain and simple with donations of sealed snacks and foodstuffs like mac cheese bowls, granola bars, fruit cups, nonperishables, prepackaged Lunchables, juice boxes, Capri sun, small water bottles, chips, etc,” says Tom Allan. “Anything that can be put in a brown bag lunch, nonperishable, will be appropriate or meet the challenge with any kind of monetary donation.”
“Joining us and helping our community like this is the safest, simplest, and most effective way to support this great and much-needed program as we adapt to ever-changing circumstances due to COVID-19,” Allan added.
The Build Benld Committee wants to thank you all for being a part of our community. We wish you and your family health and safety, and want you to know that together, we can overcome all things.
